Sides of the box move or slide to allow other pieces to move as well.  These actions, performed in the right combination will open the lid.  These beautiful boxes are perfect for gifts or wonderful as a conversation piece or keepsake. Made in the koyosegi pattern. Japanese Wood Mosaic works are manufactured in Odawara,Hakone JAPAN. Natural colored wood materials are assembled together into a board with a beautiful mosaic pattern, and sheets of this board are pasted onto boxes for decoration.  There are approximately 60 different mosaic patterns. Japanese wood mosaic is called “Yosegi” (Koyosegi). The “sun” in the name is a Japanese form of measurement.  Each “sun” is approx. 1.2 inches in box length.  The more steps in the name – the harder it is to open the box.  The last part of the title is the name of the pattern displayed on the box.   This 5 sun box takes 35 steps to open.  There is an extra step to open a hidden compartment that holds a coin.Comes with a solution.
