Breadbox

Breadbox

Breadbox Breadbox is a collaboration between David Litwin and Bram Cohen, and was offered as David’s IPP31 (International Puzzle Party) exchange puzzle. The challenge it to fit all 16 pieces of toast into the large frame opening.  Add the bread crumb in as well for extra difficulty.  Breadbox comes in different color configurations of Cherry, Walnut and Maple woods, so please note that wood colors may vary. Also comes arranged and neatly packed in a metal display tin.

The simplicity of the puzzles is misleading. Although the concept is quite simple – finding the pieces and repairing them together – an amazing level of mental activity is required to complete the necessary steps to complete a puzzle. Psychological studies have identified a number of thought processes that are necessary to achieve what is in fact a complex process of identifying shapes and images and relating them to a general pattern. More importantly, solving puzzles is great work for the brain and can have therapeutic benefits.
