Puzzle Booklet – Greek to Latin Cross

Puzzle Booklet - Greek to Latin Cross

Puzzle Booklet – Greek to Latin Cross These booklets are produced in Hungary by hand in limited editions; their contents are made of laser cut wood. The Greek to Latin Cross has two challenges:  Fill the Latin Cross shaped hole.  Fit all the pieces into the “smaller” Greek cross. Is it possible? Paradoxically it is. The Hungarian mathematician Farkas Bolyai proved that any two polygons with the same area can be dissected into each other.  This puzzle beautifully shows an extension of this theorem.  Here, three polygons are dissected into each other. Cleverly designed with an attractively innovative book cover.  Solution is included. Made by Péter Gál.

The American Academy of Pediatrics defines early childhood as the ages between one and five years, encompassing the toddler and pre-school periods. Early childhood development occurs rapidly and is widely recognized as extremely important in setting the foundation for future learning, including the social, cognitive, and motor skills needed to handle the demands of pre-school and kindergarten. During these formative years, parents and other caring people in their lives, have the ability to enhance this development by wisely choosing activities that stimulate and challenge their minds.
